Rolls Royce Phantom Waterspeed Collection

Rolls Royce have recently released a new special edition car called the Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe Waterspeed Collection. The car commemorates Sir Malcolm Campbell and his Rolls Royce powered Bluebird K3 boat in setting the world water speed record, way back in 1937. This was a great time for Rolls Royce as they also held the land speed record and in the sky speed record as well. So they had all 3!

Campbell’s Grandson and Great Grandson have both approved the car and were happy to see that 35 of the Waterspeed collection editions are going to be built.

New Extremes

RR have taken the production of the Waterspeed Collection to a new extreme, the brushed steel deck alone on this car takes 80 hours to produce. The coach line details on the Roller takes another 4 hours to be applied using a squirrel hair brush. Further more the car itself take 9 layers of paint to get the perfect finish on the bodywork. There is no expense spared on these cars.

Just as Brilliant Performance

The performance figures haven’t changed for this edition, in comparison to the standard model, and will come with the same 453bhp 6.75litre V12 engine using the eight speed automatic gearbox.
