MG Car Club at Silverstone
The MG car club met on Saturday 29th March 2014, and I was at Siverstone that weekend to capture a few pictures behind the scenes of the event.
The MG Car Club (MGCC) has a vast following, and the cars include more recent year’s releases to way back into the classic car era, including some pre-war Triple Ms. Below you can see some behind the scenes coverage from the MG Car Club meet.
The race meeting was running on the 1.64 mile long National Circuit at Sivlerstone. The paddock was open all day allowing the spectators a chance to get close to the cars and meet the drivers.
Classic MGs
Below we have a selection of what the MG car club call the Triple-M cars.
The name derives from the ohc-engined MG Midget, Magna and Magnette cars built from 1929 to 1936 – hence ‘Triple-M’.
The cars put together a good display on the day. Even though the cars were many years old they weren’t afraid to open them up on the circuit, what a great display!
