We have heard that Aston Martin have been redeveloping the DB9 and have built a new architecture that will be implemented for the first time in the next generation of the famous DB9.
Redeveloping the DB9
The current architecture has been around since 2001, it is around 13 years old now, and still looks good might I add. The new setup is said to use aluminium throughout the car where possible to lower the car’s weight, whilst improving the cars stiffness. Also Aston may be looking at extending the wheel base and track width of the car to improve its handling capabilities.
As we heard last year, Aston Martin are going to start using AMG powered engines to power their cars. The engine for the DB9 is suspected to be a V8 4.0-litre which may be released for the first time later this year in the AMG GT.
So whatever Aston Martin’s choice with DB9, I’m sure it will be just as good, if not better, than the car we have now.
