Land Rover Discovery XXV Special Edition

A special commemorative edition of the Land Rover Discovery was launched at the Geneva motor show this month. The Discovery XXV celebrates the 25th anniversary of the launch of the original model.

What does the Special Edition Include?

The XXV is based on the existing HSE Luxury specification and comes finished in bespoke Causeway Grey paint. It gets Narvik Black grille surrounds and mirror caps, as well as full-length silver roof rails. Unique 20inch alloys, and XXV badging on the front doors and tailgate are also fitted. The extra touches make this legendary car look fantastic and I’m sure it will be admired by many Land Rover enthusiasts.

Inside, the fascia, instrument surrounds, and door tops are covered in luxury Windsor leather. Twist pile carpet and a leather wrapped steering wheel complete the changes.

One Million and Counting

At the beginning of this year, Land Rover says it had made 1,088,000 Discoverys at it’s Solihull plant and they are still going!

The original Discovery was introduced in 1989, originally being designed to fill a gap between the more hardcore Defender and the luxury Range Rover, but it actually ended up creating its own market.

The Land Rover Discovery XXV is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of this year at a price of around £63,000.
