German tuning company ‘Zender’ went out of business in 2008. Now, they are back with a 240hp beast in the ‘Abarth 500 Corsa Stradale’ and apart from being a bit of a mouthful, it’s certainly a looker! I’m kind of hoping that you’ve heard of Zender before, but there is a good chance that you might not have, so for anybody not aware, Zender have a history of taking VW’s and Alfa’s and, well, making them better!
240hp from a 1.4 litre engine is mighty impressive and so are the rest of the stats, including 0-60mph in 6.4 seconds and on to a top speed of 144! That’s performance that you would expect from something much larger! The stats aren’t the only thing that impresses, it can’t just be me that thinks this is one of the best looking Abarth 500′s, or any 500 for that matter, that has been created?
Zender’s Carbon fibre bodywork looks fantastically sporty and suits the aggressive performance right down to large twin pipes at the back that are sure to give a decent gurgle when you hit the loud pedal! All in all, this looks like a great return to form from the German tweakers, I’m sure you’ll join me and wish them every success, can’t wait to see what else they have in the pipeline!
Zender back in the game with beastly Abarth
